Consultations With a Doctor
Consultations with a doctor are made by an appointment only. These can be booked for the same day and also for up to two weeks in advance depending on availability.
We only have limited available numbers of appointments available each day depending on numbers of clinicans available, once we are fully booked and you feel you need seeing today, we are now advising that you visit the Urgent Treatment Centre at Pontefract Hospital which is open 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
You can make an appointment by telephoning 01977 668455 at 8am Monday to Friday. You can also call in at the surgery when the doors open at 8am.
Automated check-in
When you arrive for your appointment, please try and check yourself in on the touch screen in the Reception area. It is simple to use (just put in the date and month of your birthday and it will 'arrive' you automatically)
Consultations with Practice Nurses
The practice nurses hold clinics daily, normally by appointment. These can be made in advance and they offer the full range of practice nursing services.
- Ear Syringing
- Removal of Sutures and Dressings
- Blood and Urine test (these are mainly carried out by the Health Care Assistant)
- Long term condition Reviews

Telephone Consultations
We can also offer telephone consultation with a doctor or nurse for patients whose problems may be dealt with over the phone. Reception will be able to arrange this for you.
Video Consultations
You can now be sent a link to set up a video consultation should the need arise, if you have access to a smartphone of computer.
Extended Hours
The practice has early morning appointments with a nurse or healthcare Assistant from 7.30am to 8am. These are Pre-bookable by appointment only.
Please note that the doors are locked to the general public and only patients who have booked appointments will be allowed in the surgery during these times.
Care Navigation
Care navigation enables improved access to primary care.
If patients are seen by the appropriate clinician or service this will reduce pressure on GPs, allowing them to see the patients that they need to see the most.
Effective navigation is a key element of delivering coordinated, person-centred care and support. Right care, right place, right time.
After consultations with a doctor and before Auto check in please.
