Training Practice
Vocational Training for Doctors
The practice is engaged in a scheme for training qualified doctors to become general practitioners. These doctors are called GP Registrars. Each registrar remains at the practice for 6 months, and video recordings of consultations may take place as part of the training process, with the consent of the patient. If you object to the principle of this please inform reception.
Medical Students
There may be occasions when the practice also trains medical students. Consultations with medical students would normally be carried out under the supervision of one of the doctors at the practice, but if you would prefer not to be seen by a student please tell reception.
Nurse Practitioners
Occasionally fully qualified nurses who are also training to be nurse practitioners may be carrying out consultations in the practice.
The Sloan Education Suite
The medical centre is equipped with a self contained suite of rooms for training and education. These rooms are available for hire and enquiries regarding this should be made to Sophie Egan or Wendy Middleton.
