Qualified at Manchester in 1987 and undertook her GP training in Pontefract and started as a partner at the medical centre in 1991. In 1998 she qualified as MRCGP and became a GP trainer in 1999. She is also involved in appraisals of other GPs.
She has also been involved in the care of patients with drug addiction since 1996 and 2002 completed the Certificate in Management of Drug Misuse.
Dr Hewitt qualified in medicine in June 1994 at Sheffield University.
Following 5 years working in a number of hospital paediatric departments throughout Yorkshire, in 2002 she commenced work as a GP at Tieve Tara Medical Centre, before becoming a Partner in 2003.
She is a part-time GP with particular interests in Children's Health, Women's Health, Sexual Health and Contraception, and COPD/Asthma.
Dr Manju qualified in medicine at Trivandrum Medical College, India in January 2003.
She came to the UK in 2004 and trained as a GP in Leicester and Castleford. She completed her MRCGP in 2012. She has also completed a Diploma in Sexual Health and Contraception (DFSRH) in 2012.
She joined Tieve Tara Medical Centre in November 2015 as a part-time GP with special interests in Sexual Health and Contraception.

Christine joined the team in 1988 as a practice nurse.
Her role has evolved and changed in response to changing health needs and health care delivery she has developed specialist skills and undertaken courses in the management of such conditions as asthma and diabetes.
She also provides general nursing treatment, screening procedures and gives health promotion advice.
In the year 2000 she gained her BSC (Hons) degree in Community Health Care Nursing.

Nicki joined Tieve Tara in August 2001, previously at Pontefract General Infirmary Coronary Care Unit and 12 years on a gynaecology ward.
She gained her BA (Hons) from Huddersfield University in June 2004.
Her main area of interest is coronary heart disease (CHD) and she has undertaken a diploma in CHD Prevention and management in Primary Care.
She also provides general nursing treatment.

Qualified with a First Class Honours Degree in 2018 and started working at Tieve Tara Medical Centre in September 2018. Offers all standard nursing duties and responsibilities. Has a special interest in wound management and diabetes. Continually developing skills to be able to provide a wide range of services for patients.
Lynn joined Tieve Tara in August 1997 as a receptionist, obtaining a Diploma in Medical Reception in August 2000.
In 2001 she progressed to her current position of Healthcare Assistant and has achieved her NVQ in Health Support.
Her role includes collecting pathological specimens, and recording and monitoring of health information for the practice population
Susan Gilbert Practice Manager
Susan Gilbert joined the team at Tieve Tara Medical Centre in October 2016 and works closely with the partners on the strategic development of the practice.
She is also responsible for other aspects of the practice such as financial control, human resources and service development.
She is an experienced manager with over 20 years previous experience working for another practice in the Wakefield area.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
